ROB ZOMBIE Bassist Releases Solo Music
June 1, 2007ROB ZOMBIE/ex-AMEN/WEDNESDAY 13 bassist Matt Montgomery (a.k.a. Piggy D.) has posted two new tracks on his official MySpace page. The tracks "No One Knows You're Alive" and "Mr. Anxiety" come off Piggy's debut solo album, entitled "The Evacuation Plan", due on July 31. According to a press release, these songs are two of the more straight-ahead rock tracks. The rest of the album is said to be "a diverse blend of classic rock, metal and punk."
"The Evacuation Plan" features Tommy Clufetos (ROB ZOMBIE) on all drum tracks and Alice Cooper's daughter Calico on some guest vocals. Dave Spreng (VALIENT THORR, DAMONE) co-produced the album and took care of the mixing duties as well. The CD will feature 12 songs that document the year and half that followed Piggy D.'s evacuation from a devastated New Orleans.
Piggy said in a recent radio interview that the record will be available in the official online store as well as a few digital download sites. "This record doesn't sound like any band I've ever been in," he said. "If fans of my former bands dig it, that's cool; if not, that's fine too. I plan on being around for a while playing music that I love on stage and on records. I'm having more fun in ZOMBIE than I've ever had in my life."
